Jeeta (second from the left in above picture) grew up in the orphanage run by Parsu and Bhawani, attached to their home in Tikapur. Supported by donations from Christian organizations, Parsu and Bhawani looked after as many as 30 children, who grew vegetables in a small plot, looked after animals, helped in the home, and went to school.Jeeta now teaches at the Grace School. In the picture below, the students are proudly showing off letters they wrote to their new penpals at Little Harbor School in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
Although she loves teaching the kids, Jeeta would like to go to Nursing school for three years. She took the entrance exam and placed 41st, but there were only 40 seats available. Perhaps she will try again next year to attend the school at MahendraNagar, near the western end of Nepal.
