Nepali teachers travel to Goa for training

Four leaders and four teachers from PremNagar and Grace schools were invited to Good News Church in Goa, India for training and to help get to know one another. They spent eight days being taught by Melvin and Ligia Pereira at the King’s School. Specific training was given in the areas of classroom teaching techniques, class management, English and school administration. They returned to Nepal very excited and ready to teach the kids

While in Goa, they had a chance to visit with the Nepali boys who are currently doing vocation training at Don Bosco vocational training center. (see post dated 4/7/09 Trade School for 5 Young Men) They received a good repost on the progress the boys are making from the head master of the school. Ramjanam and Bashu, are doing well in the area of furniture making, and Jeet and Rajkumar are doing well in the areas of welding and electricity.

The teachers were hosted by members of Good News Church in Goa. They had good fellowship with the church members and enjoyed discussing ways they can work together. Good News Church wants to start an outreach to the many Nepali people who work in Goa and the staff from Tikapur is looking forward to helping them with this area of ministry.
