Political Unrest in Nepal

The past year has been a difficult one for the people of Nepal.  With a new constitution in the balance, different ethnic groups are trying to make sure their interests are represented.  This past May, there were protests, “bandhas” (or strikes) and violence in many parts of the country.  Schools and markets were closed and transportation services were affected for over a month. The May/June service team had to cancel their trip.  Elections were planned for November 22 but have recently been postponed until spring 2013. Please pray for peace in Nepal and wisdom for the leaders there.
