Massive Earthquake Hits Nepal

Early this morning (our time) a 7.8 magnitude earthquake hit Nepal, about 50 miles north west of Kathmandu.

This is about a day's travel from Tikapur and Dhangadhi, the main locations for the work we are involved in there.  All our dear friends in Nepal are safe; however, the earthquake hit hard and caused massive damage not only in Nepal, but in India and surrounding areas.

People have been asked to stay outside as the aftershocks continue. Madan said that he can see the fear in the faces of those around him.

The latest news from Nepal is confirming around 1,400+ people have lost their lives, and thousands are injured.  These numbers are sure to rise, especially as the more remote, mountain communities are reached.

We anticipate a tremendous need in the days and weeks ahead for basic necessities for many.  Our friends there are well connected to the Kathmandu area and we feel confident that any relief effort we undertake will go directly to those in need.  If you would like to donate money to the relief effort, please CLICK HERE.

Please pray for the Nepali people and for our brothers and sisters in Nepal who have been impacted by the quake.
